Ghuttie Snacks started with a simple mission: To bring real nutrition back into our diets through the healing power of superfoods.

Almost 30 years ago, my battle with poor gut health started, which left me with multiple symptoms, including food cravings.

I searched relentlessly for healthy snacks on supermarket shelves, but like most, I fell for ultra-processed foods cleverly labelled as healthy.

Unfortunately, I quickly gained weight, and my symptoms got worse.

Around this time, I also began training as a GP and encountered patients with similar symptoms to mine.

I was desperate not only to find answers for me, but also for my patients.

This is when I started experimenting with various foods, including nuts, seeds, and a range of simple ingredients.

This blending process was shaped by my time living in Bologna, Italy's food capital.

Here I learned and fell in love with the power of simplicity in food recipes.

A great example of the common saying less is more.

About 10 years ago, while training as a gut health specialist, my world changed, and I found the answer.

It lay in the healing powers of superfoods, used by ancient cultures for centuries due to their superior nutrition and health benefits.

This time, I incorporated these superfoods into my recipes, using the humble sunflower, which offers numerous health benefits and is not overpowering in flavour.

Through years of experimentation and trial and error, I found the optimal balance between flavour and nourishment.

My inner-circle and gut-health clients raved about what I had created-I think I was onto something.

Fast forward to today, and Ghuttie Snacks has arrived, bringing the results of a lifetime of work and study to UK households and to consumers worldwide.

We don’t think there is a more versatile clean snack on the market.
